About The Design
Smarties is one of Britain’s best-loved brands. There are eight colours to choose from; red, orange, blue, green, yellow, pink, violet and brown. The company pay much attention to health and nutrition, so Smarties, one of the oldest brands of Nestle, has contained no artificial colours or flavours. People love Smarties because it is fun to play with, its colourful candy also gains children’s favour.
The name of my concept, ANIFUN, comes from not only the main idea of five animals, but more for the purpose of having any fun with this package. Why can‘t we make our customers keep the packages after they take out the product inside? Not to throw them as a trash, but to collect them, create some predicted uses of the package, have fun and making them a wonderful decoration of their daily life is the core of my design. Five animals in five different colours mean the colourful chocolates of Smarties itself. They combine with each other just like good friends hand in hand. The triangular prism box also makes it easy to put together and they have many kinds of combining ways, by their small hands as well as their mouth.
Children must be the main audience of the confectionery part. Colourful and interesting graphic design will catch their eyes. What’s more, children all have strong curiousity to try new things, like building blocks and lego. Attractive cartoon animals patterns will inspire the eager of exploring the deeper fun of the package. The flexible combination of the package is also good for children to play with and to inspire their great creativity.
